Expanding Since 1961
From Trading Post to Family Enterprise
Garcia's Premium Coffee began in 1961 as a trading business, bringing coffee from Batangas to the Baguio Public Market. It was a simple idea: find good coffee and bring it to Baguio. Over the decades, the family grew its role in the supply chain. They developed their own farm in Kamog, brought into the business through the Angel family, and acquired their own roaster. Along the way they built relationships with farmers from across the Cordillera and nearby provinces. Many of them still come to the original market store today, traveling from Sablan, La Trinidad, Tuba, Atok, and beyond. Some of those relationships go back generations. What started as a single market stall is now two branches, with a third opening in 2026. Not bad for a family that just wanted to sell good coffee.
Deliberate, Intentional, and Still Going
Today, Garcia's Premium Coffee is a vertically integrated family enterprise, with presence from farm to roaster to retail. The current stewards are focused on building the business the right way. That means improving food handling practices, strengthening documentation, and aligning operations with industry standards. It is not glamorous work, but it matters. We believe that a business worth keeping is a business worth doing properly. Fresh roasting remains at the heart of everything, Monday to Saturday, one order at a time. Generations in, and we are still just getting started.
